This prevents possible lag between object movement and sfx heard. - Added missing redbook and mp3 lines in Market Battle track. Fix [Graphics] - Fixed frame rate issue in Windows 8, adds necessary compatibility flags required by this OS. - Ensure firework trail is always killed when the firework goes out of bounds. - All remaining trail bits were skipped as soon as one bit could not be rendered (as for example when the object stopped moving). A new parameter "Camber" for each wheel in the car parameters.txt file can be used to set the rotation angle (degree) along the Z axis. The camber sign is automatically adjusted for left / right wheels. [Dev] - Added new setting "CarAICatchup" in the profile ini to disable the AI car catch-up / rubberbanding effect. - Added new settings in the profile ini to disable some new behavior in v1.2 (not recommended). Currently supported settings are "CarCompatibility" and "[Audio] Compatibility". - Also added in-game cheat codes (to be typed blindly within a race) to toggle the compatibility modes: CARCOMPON / CARCOMPOFF and AUDIOCOMPON / AUDIOCOMPOFF. The cheat action will be saved to the profile, so it can be used to avoid editing the profile ini files. Mod [General] - The wheel collision sphere is now properly moved along with the wheel when turning or when using the Camber angle feature. This behavior can be disabled with the "CarCompatibility" setting in the profile ini. - Updated the fix for "car sliding" in the frontend preview screen. - Slightly faster models (prm / m) loading. - Make sure the random number generator is initiated with the same seed in the race and its replay. This can alleviate some of the sync issues in Replay mode, but may still not be enough. - Use a fixed timestep for the game management rather than depending on the actual frame rate to improve the game stability (of the lights, animations, etc.) in high fps (i.e., with vsync off). - Improved Spanish translation. [Graphics] - Split screen: now support horizontal and vertical split even for more than 2 players (useful for multi-monitor setups). [Audio] - Improved 3d audio: updated the volume, pan and cutoff distance computations to avoid wasting sfx channels for inaudible sounds. The "[Audio] Compatibility" ini setting can be used to restore the old behavior. - The camera following the car in Replay cameras can "zoom" the microphone upto 5x so that the sfx in the direction of the car is more audible. This avoids boring lack of engine sfx when playing / viewing replay with this type of camera (disabled with "[Audio] Compatibility"). - Slightly increased firework BANG sound range so that it can be heard from afar (disabled with "[Audio] Compatibility"). - Better management of sfx priorities, and a dedicated one for the piano notes in Toyworld. - Increased the default sfx channels for a new profile to 32. - Internally use up to 128 slots for 3d sfx (increased from 64). [Input] - When entering the Controller menu in splitscreen, the default controller slot is set to the one used to enter the menu. - Now displays "Joystick 1 (joystick name)" in Controller menu. This helps distinguish two controllers with the same name. - Don't disable force feedback if auto-centering is not supported by the device. - Can now use the joystick axes / direction controls as buttons (eg., for rearview). [Multi] - Better management of the network session, improved use of available bandwidth using message priorities, ping, etc., more stable motion of remote cars and weapons. - Manage network messages on a per-player basis, this avoids network hogging and bad players from affecting everyone in the session. - Heavily lagging / disconnected players are shown as a ghost car. - Improved multiplayer in-game menu: The "Select Next Track" option now opens the regular track selection menu, then going forward starts the next track. The usual "Restart Track" option simply restarts the current track. - The "mirrored" / "reversed" mode can be changed for the next race using the improved "Select Next Track" screen. [Dev] - Allow the Number of Laps to be increased upto 255 by directly editing the profile ini. - Allow all championship cups in dev mode. - In SADIST mode, re-use the last weapon when Shift is pressed. - Write the proper body Offset when exporting the parameters file using "Save Current Car Info" option. - In dev mode, the "car sliding in frontend" fix can be enabled in-game too with CAPSLOCK on. This can be issued to check for differences in car handling with this fix. - Draw Instances BBox and bounding sphere as wireframe when drawing collisions. - Draw the min-max range spheres for 3d sfx in Objects edit mode. Fix [General] - Try to automatically fix a sync issue in Replay mode where objects may be skipped / not created in the right order. [Graphics] - Fixed camera glitch when switching from bonnet view to normal camera. [Audio] - Fixed 3D sfx not created / updated properly (takes care of "sfx lost" issue mostly noticeable with battery / zap, or random skid noises). - Fixed low sfx volume, now make use of the full volume range. - Fixed scrape / skid sounds unset for Paving material. - Fixed the sfx velocity computation (for doppler effect). - If a bomb explosion is forced, make sure the fuse sfx is canceled immediately. - Fixed sfx left and right channels swapped in Mirrored track mode. Falls back to CD playback if the "music" folder is not found. Mod [General] - Can now choose between global and per-rating ghost and split times in Time Trial mode (Game Settings -> Split Times). - Times and ghost data are saved directly inside the "times" folder rather than in sub-folders. The filenames are suffixed with N, R, M, RM to denote Normal, Reverse, etc. - Improved use of downloaded ghost (.lapdownload) files. Fix [General] - AI glitches: car getting stuck and staying idle, glitch when trying to take alternate routes, car skipping checkpoints and continuing to race instead of resetting itself. - Glitch with reposition: car not reset to the correct place, or car reset to the correct place but red X stays. - Sync problem at Replay start. - Ghost data not updated if laplocal and times files are out of sync. Fix [General] - Fixed fuse glitch when player with bomb hits a clone pickup and explodes. - The correct track length is shown for Normal and Reverse modes. - Visibilty tests issue when replacing default planet models for custom support. - "Small step collision fix": Glitch in collision engine that makes it impossible to climb small steps (eg., step from potato sack to long freezer in Market 1). - Avoid crashes with broken / incomplete user car parameters. - Missing files (cars, levels, languages) are handled with error messages instead of causing a crash. - Crash when a car does not use any model for the body. - Crash in certain levels (eg., Garden) with Trolley selected as the player's car. - Crash when trying to start track in Reverse mode if the "reversed" folder is missing.
